Methacrylamides

Combinations of methacrylamide and acetal-modified methacrylamides used as functional monomers are recommended for heat crosslinking resins. Low formaldehyde emissions can be adjusted (e.g., bonding of textile wadding). Methacrylamide alone can be used as a high Tg, polar co-monomer, for improving solvent resistance and cohesion. In a special application, methacrylamide can be grafted onto natural fibres (silk weighting).
